Garden Romance

"If I had a flower for every time you made me smile and laugh I'd have a garden to walk in forever"

A budding and blooming flower garden is always the best place to be come the Spring! So when this beautiful couple chose to have their wedding at Independence Harbor, our team was excited to have such a colorful backdrop for their "I-do's"!  Independence Harbor, in Assonet, MA is known for their thoughtfully planned and well maintained flower gardens. From the moment you step onto the grounds of this venue you are immediately greeted by color, luscious scents, and a welcoming feeling almost as if you have entered a dear friend's garden. Add a sprawling back deck, good cocktails and a fun and vivacious family and you have the makings for a great wedding!

Hannah and Elliot were wed on June 3, 2016 surrounded by their loving family and beautiful scenery. From the beginning we were excited to design for this young and energetic couple because of their great love for one another and their excitement for their new life together. Hannah, a designer at heart, chose a beautiful spring palette of soft peach and pink coupled with hints of sage green. With the boys wearing slate gray suits and the girls wearing blush pink, this palette complimented all of the natural details in the surrounding landscapes. Early June is one of the best times of year for locally grown flowers because you have the most amazing Spring blooms including anemones, poppies, ranunculus, and sweet peas combined with early summer favorites like peonies and lisanthus! We chose to keep the designs classic, natural and definitely romantic for this garden-inspired wedding.

Springtime in Westport

"Spring is when life is alive in everything" -Christine Rossetti

I love a couple that comes to us with a theme, a passion, or something sentimental that they absolutely love and want to incorporate into their big day.  So when I met Krista and Chris and they expressed their love of craft beers,  I knew this was a match made in wedding heaven!

On May 7th, Christopher and Krista exchanged vows at Bittersweet Farms in Westport, MA in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The gorgeous bride walked down the aisle with a bouquet filled of blush pinks, light blues and dusty greens. Her handsome groom met her with a warm smile, pinned with a boutonniere of greens and fresh, seasonal blue and white florals which complimented his slate gray suit perfectly. Although the ceremony decor was kept simple and classic, the couple had a bit of fun with their reception decor. Half of the centerpieces were designed in wooden birch boxes with eucalyptus and beautiful florals spilling out while the second half of the tables had a variety of unique beer growlers, collected from different local breweries that the couple loved. Tables also were adorned with cool brass lanterns, which lent itself perfectly to the post and beams of Bittersweet's barn. This rustic-inspired celebration was the perfect refection of our bride and groom while highlighting Bittersweet's charming natural barn and grounds.

A Perfect Country Wedding

Where over 300 head of cattle once grazed, rows of matured trees now fill the bride’s grandfather’s farm, making the tree nursery the perfect backdrop for this country wedding.  Aaron and Erin were married on a beautiful June day in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Their nuptials were filled with many perfectly crafted DIY projects, beautiful blush tone bridesmaid dresses, and a yummy BBQ menu catered by B&M catering, making this wedding one for the books! Maureen and Mary Kate got to join in on the fun as bridesmaids which was an honor and a pleasure.
