MEET THE FARMER.

Amy Rodrigues is owner/ farmer of the Dahlia Shed. The Dahlia Shed is a 1 acre, small cut flower farm located in Middletown, Rhode Island. Amy primarily grows for wedding and event florists, local floral shops and for their retail self service stand. The Dahlia Shed is in its 11th season, producing over 50 different flower and foliage crops. Amy’s list includes woody perennials and summer annuals but most of her dedication is towards dahlias that are grown for cut flowers and tuber production.

Amy Rodrigues has a bachelor’s degree in Education and has always had a passion for flowers. Amy grew up on a small farm in Rhode Island and also worked for her Aunt’s greenhouse farm which was located down the road. Through college, Amy worked for her Aunt’s florist/ garden center and learned many valuable design aspects of this industry. These experiences have given her the foundation to grow a successful floral business.

Most summer days you can find Amy working amongst her dahlias surrounded by her three beautiful children (who are some of the hardest working kiddos around)!
