Vineyard Vows

Imagine walking across a manicured lawn in a flowing gown, rows upon rows of grapevines sprawled out in front of you. Surrounded by family and friends on a private and serene seaside estate, your husband-to-be awaits expectantly for your arrival with a smile. This was the experience of being wed at the scenic Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard, a winery and event venue located in Little Compton, RI.  for Alexandra and Andrew this past June. From the rustic wine barrels adorned with overflowing blooms to the crisp clean cylindrical centerpieces designed in blues and creams, their wedding style was timeless and classic New England. Being the time of year, the floral designs were filled with beautiful Little Compton grown cream peonies. Blue bachelor button and sea holly, grown organically in Dartmouth, MA  also added the perfect hues of indigo for this intimate gathering.

Dockside, under a tent, against the romantic, vintage backdrop of Bristol, RI's cobblestone paths and brick lined alleyways, Ashley and Jeremy shared their wedding vows on a beautiful June day. The rustic yet modern ambience of the location was enhanced by the clean, crisp creams, ivories and pinks which popped against navy and charcoal backgrounds. The time of year lent itself to an abundance of local blooms that we had the pleasure of designing with, including local peonies, ranunculuses, anemones, and garden roses.

Simplicity meets Sophistication

July 19th, 2014

When a world traveler meets a non-profit philanthropist, their wedding is nothing short of a beautiful affair. Mike and Leila tied the knot on July 19th at the quaint Acoaxet chapel in the seaside town of Westport, Massachusetts. Following the vows, the Groom’s family hosted a tented reception in their backyard overlooking the serene waters of the Westport River. Rustic and natural was the overall theme throughout the whole reception, complete with green and cream florals in weathered tin containers as well as tall glass vases for a more dramatic look, lanterns of mixed woods and metallics, and even a eucalyptus-based table runner. Creams and blush tone bouquets accompanied the soft-white eclectic dresses of the bridesmaids while a sentimental all Calla Lilly bridal bouquet and boutonniere finished the look of the stunning couple.
