Spring Time Magic

2021 wedding season was definitely a memorable one, as it was two years worth of weddings jammed packed into one year! More weddings +less flowers + labor shortages + more restrictions= a challenge for the entire floral/events industry. Thank God for our personal relationships with the talented farmers here in Southern New England plus our amazing couples who put their trust in us completely. Without all of them, none of our weddings this past year would have been possible or as magnificent as they were!

We want to take the next few months to look back on the magic that was created in our studio and to acknowledge those flowers, those farmers and those clients who made our job a JOY this past year, even with all of the obstacles.

So- let’s start with my favorite season for flowers; Spring! First up, our fun, energetic and lovely couple Jessica and Andrew!

On a moody Spring day in May, you know the kind where you get the full gamete of weather, Jessica and Andrew said their I-do’s seaside at the beautiful and serene property at Mount Hope Farm. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, J&A invited guests to a fun, laid back, cheerful party under the stars- reminding everyone why love and celebrations are so important!

When Jessica and I met, we instantly connected! Not only do we share a love for Little Compton (where I am from and where TLB’s HQ is) but we also bonded over art, design and our appreciation for celebrating nature! I loved that Jess wasn’t afraid of color or having fun, which prompted me to gather all of the stars of a spring garden for her bouquet! In the Fall of 2020, I planted a wide range of tulips in the whole rainbow of colors as well as daffodils for the sole purpose to be used on their wedding day. Coupled with poppies, ranunculus, garden roses, daffodils and even flowering branches like spirea- J&A’s wedding was the perfect representation of seasonality, nature and their moment in time!

Overall the decor was warm, simple, eclectic with a hint of vintage. It felt comfortable to their guests and highlighted the flowers without being fussy or over done.

The talented Joseph Laurin captured this wedding perfectly, highlighting the joy and light this couple emulated to everyone around them. Those smiles say everything!
