I thought it would be fun to take a look back on 2019 and all of the beautiful bouquets we had the pleasure of designing! Our brides this past year were not afraid to embrace a more vibrant color palette which was so fun to see. It’s always a joy when the studio is filled with colors or flower species that we aren’t used to seeing week after week.
From early summer bouquets filled with lush ponies, garden roses and my favorite- mock orange to Fall bouquets that showcased the most perfect locally grown dahlias and textured bits like vibernum berry and scabiosa pods- these bouquets had lots of personality! Thanks to our amazing growing community here in New England, our clients got to experience the magic of locally grown flowers. It was such a joy to continue to work side by side with my farmers in ensuring our brides received the freshest, most fragrant and beautiful stems possible.
Looking back back too, I am proud to say that all of these bouquets had something grown right here at The Local Bouquet studio in my own cutting garden. I love taking a walk through my gardens when it is time to make the bridal bouquet. I know there is something to offer there, whether it is a few pieces of greenery that will add movement, a cool textured bit like a berry or a seed pod that will give the bouquet personality, or even a focal point flower like one of our tulips or peonies. Adding this piece of The Local Bouquet and of me is a quiet gift that I add in to all of my work now.
Take a look at 2019 beautiful bouquets…
